2019 Leadership Lab

https://d104-h.tamu.edu/district-events-activities/leadership-lab/

Leadership Lab is held annually in June and 4-H members from ages 13-18 may attend.  This event provides a variety of leadership, recreation, and project enhancement workshops that participants are challenged to take back to their own county and implement.  District 4-H Council Delegates from the 21 counties are highly encouraged to attend and participate in the District 4-H Council Business Meeting which includes the election of officers for the new 4-H year.  Candidates for District 4-H Council will present their campaign speech and participate in a question/answer session in front of the voting delegates.

Wildlife / Outdoor

Texas Brigades

Texas Brigades is a wildlife and natural resource-focused leadership development organization for youth (ages 13-17).  Each camp is an intense, all inclusive, five day experience led by some of the top wildlife and natural resource professionals in Texas. Approximately 200 youth from throughout the state of Texas are typically served.
These programs feature quail, deer, bass, redfish/marine species, waterfowl or livestock, with an aim to equip youth with the resources and determination needed to make a difference in conservation and land stewardship throughout their lives. Through this experience, participants are introduced to habitat management, hone their communication skills, learn to work together as a team, and develop a land & conservation ethic.

Applications may be found and completed online at https://www.texasbrigades.org – due March 15th.  The all-inclusive tuition is $500 per cadet per camp. Applications for tuition assistance are also available. Come enjoy the outdoors with Texas Brigades. For more information, contact Texas Brigades at camps@texasbrigades.org, call the office at 210-556-1391, or find us on Facebook, Twitter, and IG.
